Food Banks Alberta is committed to bolstering the sustainability of member food banks facing resource challenges that cannot be met solely through community donations. Through our dedicated fund development and fundraising initiatives, we offer targeted grants and subsidies designed specifically to fill these gaps.

Member food banks can apply for financial support to cover critical operational costs such as food purchasing, equipment maintenance, and utility expenses.

This program ensures that food banks continue to serve their communities effectively and without interruption by providing a stable financial foundation that empowers them to plan and execute their services with confidence.

Additionally, Food Banks Alberta secures large-scale donations of food and products from partners across Canada, which we then distribute to the Alberta food banks that are most in need.
