The $50,000 in funding donated from FortisAlberta will be used to purchase much-needed food to be distributed to communities across Alberta where Fortis operates. FortisAlberta employees will also be engaged across their communities to deliver hampers to individuals who are in isolation or immobile. They have 1,100 employees & operational facilities in 50 communities to serve their customers. “We recognize that now more than ever, our customers are counting on us in many ways to help Alberta see its way through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mike Mosher, FortisAlberta President and CEO. “We know how important it is to ensure that the medical community has the power they need to run life-saving equipment and that people at home can stay connected. We also want to reach out to our customers as neighbours and friends to help them through these uncertain times in the best way we know how, by supporting food banks across the province.”
